Chief Executive Officer
Massimo Tivegna obtained a degree in Economics and Business at the University of Pisa and a Master's degree in Corporate & Investment Banking at SDA Bocconi. He has worked for over 25 years in the corporate finance division of several major Italian banks, including Banca Commerciale Italiana, Credito Emiliano, Banco di Napoli, Rolo Banca, and, since 2004, for Unicredit, in roles of ever-greater responsibility ranging from regional manager of Lombardy to Head of structured finance, then becoming Head of the real estate finance division. At Unicredit, he became SVP Head of Central Credit Underwriting in 2010 and in 2012 he took over the position of Head of Network Real Estate Management. He has been the managing director of Serenissima SGR since July 2017.
Chief Operating Officer
He has worked as a consultant in Banking Industry since 1988 – since 2003 as a manager – for Banca di Roma, Capitalia and UniCredit. He has been responsible for different areas including Credit Recovery, Monitoring of Performing Loans and Risk Management, both at the Group level and with reference to Italian institutions. In 2012, he started working for UniCredit as Head of Business Management of the Real Estate Network Department, and more recently, as Real Estate Market Coordinator. In Serenissima SGR since October 2017, he holds the position of Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility on Asset Management Areas, Legal and Corporate Affairs.

Alessandro Di Carlo
Head of Fundraising & Business Development International
A graduate in Business and Economics, he held several positions within the London Branch of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and also worked for the Royal Bank of Canada, where he last managed the Italian Financial Products department. While returning to Italy, he focused on establishing the Autostrada BS-PD Group Management Control and on the start-up of Serenissima SGR, which he later joined, where he initially was Head of the Finance Department, becoming Managing Director and now the current position.
Head of Fundraising & Business Development Italy
A graduate in Business and Economics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, he was Real Estate & Distressed Asset Director and Board Member of Fondamenta SGR (2008-2012) where he managed the initial structuring of the Real Estate Dept., developing a team of qualified professionals and activating a relevant growth in terms of products and assets under management. From 1987 to 2000, he worked alongside a leading specialist in distressed companies management. Since 2001, he supported several companies in studying, designing and implementing entrepreneurial initiatives in start-up and restructuring. Appointed as Head of Asset Management since september 2016, previously has been responsible for the Business Development & Valuation unit and for the Real Estate Asset Management area where he has started his career in Serenissima (2013).
He holds a degree in Business and earned at E-Finance Master from the Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University in Milan. He later worked for IT development companies first as an functional analyst and then at client companies, leading fund management companies in Milan. Starting in 2014 he began work in the Finance Area at a real estate fund management company. This is the same position he currently holds at Serenissima SGR.
She obtained her degree in Economics and Commerce at the University of Venice Cà Foscari, and had previously gained experience as an internal auditor in a bank in Milan, then consolidating her experience in a brokerage company belonging to the primary insurance group in Verona, where she worked for five years. She has worked for Serenissima SGR since 2005. She has served as head of the Development and Organization department. She is currently head of the Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering department.
Value Added Funds
He began at Serenissima SGR in the Technical Area and is now coordinator of the Technical Office. He previously worked for RES Sviluppo Immobiliare, a Project Management company active in the field of property development that managed the development of a number of properties in portfolios belonging to Funds managed by Serenissima SGR.
She earned a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Padua and later earned a PhD from the same university in Estimates and Territorial Economics. From 2005 to 2007 she acted as a professional consultant for public entities and private professional offices for environmental and territorial framework studies, environmental impact assessment, financial economic analysis of investments and validation of public works, as well as teaching at the Universities of Padua, Venice and Ferrara and collaborating in the preparation of scientific publications. She held the position of Asset Manager from 2008 to 2015 at two asset management companies in the Veneto region, mainly dealing with urban planning-administrative enhancement of property, implementation of economic-financial analyses of interventions, market analyses, cost estimates and analyses of development scenarios. She has been with Serenissima SGR since February 2016 where she handles Appraisals of the properties of the managed Funds.
Value Added & Turnover Funds Responsible
He holds a secondary school diploma in bookkeeping and a degree from the University of Padua in Banking and Financial Markets. He has gained his work experience in two real estate asset management companies, in the first in a junior position and later as a Fund Manager. In recent years he has specialised in the management of development Real Estate Funds with fractional sales and Funds with an income portfolio. He has worked at Serenissima SGR since 2016 to oversee two Real Estate Funds.
With an high-school diploma in accounting and book-keeping, she is working in the Finance Department. She has worked as freelance in the banking sector gathering mortgage survey information before the loans approval by credit institutions. Then she acquired two decades of experience in the administrative/accounting sector within several regional food companies.
Risk Management Responsible
A graduate in Business and Economics, he has a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance. His professional experience began at Municipality of Venice in the administration and finance department and at Agenzia delle Entrate (Italian Revenues Agency) in the tax assessments and auditing. He consolidated this experience at Banca Popolare di Garanzia where, starting in financial consultancy, he ended up as Head of Corporate Clients. Before joining Serenissima SGR he worked in the area of financial consultancy and the planning of subsidiaries at Merchant Bank Inter Media Holding Spa.
He has a land surveyor secondary school diploma and is currently employed at the Technical Department which assists the Asset Managers of Serenissima SGR. He obtained his license to work freelance in 2002 and immediately began to work at some important technical firms in the Verona area dealing with architectural designing, town planning, supervision of works, management or orders and relations with private/public entities.
Adriano Di Vico
Born in Caserta, he attended the High School for Classical Studies of Santa Maria Capua Vetere Cneo Nevio and then obtained a degree in law at the Second University of Naples. He subsequently received a Master's degree (a second-level university degree in Italy) in “Evaluation, Training and Development of Human Resources. Organizational Analysis and Interventions, Risk Prevention” at the University of Padua. He has worked in the Corporate Affairs Department of Serenissima SGR since November 2016, dealing with the Governance of Funds and the management of subscribers.
A solicitor, he works in Serenissima SGR’s Legal Department. His professional and training experience includes a Master’s in European Transport Law held by the University of Udine with the E.T.L. Consortium. He previously worked in the Legal Office of Friulia Spa, the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional finance company.
Corporate Affairs Responsible
Graduated with honours in Business Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. After a period working at the Bocconi SDA (Company Management School) and a five-year experience abroad with important roles in the administrative department of a well-known Spanish hotel chain, in 2004 she joined Serenissima SGR where she actively participated, with roles of increasing importance, in the start-up phase, focusing on corporate and governance aspects. She is currently Head of Corporate Affairs and reports directly to the CEO.
Head of Asset Management
Alessio Francese, with a secondary school scientific background and degree of Financial Intermediary Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, has significant experience in managing electricity sector investments. He came from EstCapital SGR, Padua, where he worked as a fund manager and also collaborated on the development and start-up of the first energy real estate funds. Prior to this he was in charge of organising the project financing and M&A for photovoltaic projects developed in Italy by the multinational group Conergy AG, Hamburg. From 2001 to 2008 as an advisor for M&A transactions at the boutique firm of Benedetti Rossi & Partners, Milan, he assisted various Italian and foreign groups by performing sell/buy side mandates in various sectors such as renewable and conventional electricity generation, public transport and major retail chains. He speaks English and French fluently. He has been an asset manager of energy real estate funds at Serenissima SGR since 2016.
She obtained her degree in law from the University of Verona and is a native speaker of Albanian. She completed the Erasmus student mobility program in Malta and gained significant professional experience in Belgium, acquiring a firm command of English and the skills needed to perform successfully in a competitive working environment. Following a brief job rotation at a bank, in October 2016 she began her internship in the Corporate Affairs Department of Serenissima SGR S.p.A. She currently works in the Corporate Affairs Department.
After devoting years to the distribution of financial products, working in Italy and abroad, in 2007 he began working in the world of credit guarantee consortia. After a significant experience with one of the most important national institutions, he accepted the offer of the ICCREA Group companies to contribute to the development of a project to implement software originally designed for banks and adapt it for the Consortia. As a site manager, he is responsible for the migration of eighteen institutions, deepening her knowledge of the different structures and beginning to deal with money laundering, compliance and vigilance requirements, from supervision to risk control, including institutional relations. Since June 2016 he has worked for Serenissima SGR in the Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering department.
She works in the Finance Department where she focuses on activities relating to the management of Fund quotas and administrative and accounting issues. A graduate in Economics from the University of Ferrara, she has carried out research at the same university and also has a Master’s in Finance and Management Control from the University of Pisa. She has participated in the spin-off of numerous companies of the motorway sector.
Financial & Administration Responsible
A graduate in Institutional Economics and Financial Markets from Università Cattolica in Milan, after acquiring experience at a leading auditing firm he graduated with a Master’s in Merchant Banking and worked with an asset management company in the Private Equity sector. Having joined Serenissima SGR in 2006 he occupied roles of increasing responsibility in the Finance Area before being appointed to his current position of Head of Finance Department.
A graduate in Philosophy at the University of Ferrara, she has been responsible for corporate communications, press offices and marketing for a number of international brands, working in Milan and Verona both as an employee and as a freelance professional with her own practice. Owing to her personal conviction that sharing our know-how is very important is a supporter of the new communication project named “Progetto Serenissima SGR”.
Fund Raising&Business Development
He obtained a degree in International Economics, with a Major in Finance, from Regent's University (EBS) in London. After several different work experiences both in real estate and in infrastructure, he came to Serenissima SGR where he was responsible for Planning and Control in the Finance Department than in Asset Management, Fund Raising&Business Development
Core Assets Responsible
Graduated in Architecture, he started his professional career at a Studio Design & Interior. Starting in 2006, he gained significant experience in the management of real estate funds holding positions of Property, Project and Asset Manager in a SGR in Milan, working on a total portfolio of over 400 million euro. He followed several extraordinary transactions including settlements with third parties , such as consultants and suppliers of work and services , as well as participating in the liquidation of the funds under management participations.In the same period he held positions as a member of various committees. From 2015 works in Serenissima as Asset Manager.
Assistant Manager, he is a professional educator in training programmes and a facilitator of Law 22 operating authorization and institutional accreditation, a role he occupied prior to being hired by Serenissima SGR at Azienda Socio Sanitaria (Veneto Region). Emanuele is also the workers' health and safety representative.
After obtaining a degree in law from the University of Trieste, graduating with honours in November 2011, she began an internship in the Legal Department of Serenissima SGR. She attended the School of Specialization for the Legal Professions of Verona-Trento, earning her diploma there at the end of the two-year period. She passed her qualifying exam and began practising law in September 2015. She has worked in the Legal Department of Serenissima SGR since November 2017.
Performance Management & Control Responsible
A graduate in Business and Economics, he joined Serenissima SGR in November 2016 after fifteen years of experience as controller of financial services companies. After significant formative experiences abroad (Switzerland and England), he worked as the Head of Financial Control and Planning and Analysis for highly-structured international groups with a strong presence in Italy. His skills include a deep knowledge of English and French languages. He is currently responsible for the Planning and Analysis Department.
Operational Asset Management Responsible
A graduate in Architecture, he worked both freelance and as an employee acquiring significant experience in the technical-real estate sector. After an early experience at Public Administration he was made Property Manager for a leading public company (Italian Treasury Department). He later held various roles at Autostrada BS-PD (Motorway BS-PD), the last of which being Head of the Real Estate Department. He also acquired significant technical and business management experience working on project management activities for RES S.I. where he held the role of Director.
NPL Assets Responsible
Tiziano Simon, He graduated in Accounting and Holds a degree in Law and after a long experience in the banking industry, he worked from 2005 in Serenissima Partecipazioni S.p.A. as Head of Accounting and BoD secretary. He was Director of various Real Estate Companies of the A4 Holding Group and is currently the CEO (director) of the vehicle company of the investment funds that he manages.
She graduated secondary school with top marks and a Diploma in Corporate Cash Management and as Technical Business Foreign Correspondent from the Institute Carlo Anti of Villafranca di Verona. After a significant long-term experience in the administrative division of a leading Industrial Group of Verona, a leader in the civil works sector, since May 2016 she has worked in the Finance Area of Serenissima SGR and deals mainly with the administrative and accounting demands of managed funds.
Graduated in Law at the University of Parma, after an experience in a Verona Law Firm and a position as a salesperson, from January 2015 works in the Legal department of Serenissima SGR.
Value Added Funds
A graduate in Architecture, her experience in the real estate sector covered various stages of the development process, beginning with architectural designs, she both operated as freelance and collaborated with prime architects. Then she switched to the construction sector, working for construction company Costruzioni Maltauro SpA of Vicenza, and then focused on Project Management at Edizione Property S.p.A. (Benetton Group), with whom she participated in the development of important real estate projects in the commercial, residential and tourism sector.
